The province of Ilocos Sur has recently celebrated its yearly festivities the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival started January 27- Feb. 11 . This year marks the province’s Bicentennial based on the Royal Decree dated February 2, 1818 separating Ilocos Sur from Ilocos Norte. The festival showcases the rich heritage, tradition, culture, arts, crafts and delicacies of Ilocos Sur.
Various festivities accompany the celebration with the staging of trade, agriculture, aqua and livestock fairs and the promotion of the One-Town-One-Product (OTOP) of the different municipalities of the province.
San Vicente , Ilocos Sur known as the furniture center in the Region , displayed its own products and souvenir items under the One-Town-One-Product (OTOP) booth inside the trade fair. The town bagged 1st Place for the Search for Most Improved OTOP (Gifts, decors and housewares category) while 3rd placer for Best Dressed Booth Competition (LGU Category).
