Using of MODIFIED MUFFLERS TO ALL PRIVATE AND PUBLIC VEHICLES INCLUDING MOTORCYCLES AND TRICYCLES WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN VICENTE is now prohibited through an approved ordinance no . 11 series of 2017.
The prohibition will prevent all vehicles from emitting excessive and irritating sound that creates noise pollution.
No motor vehicles owner shall operate a motor vehicle, whether public or private with modified mufflers or without silencer that emits excessive irritating noise.
The Philippine National Police, Municipal Treasurers Office, Barangay Officials and Barangay Tanods shall be deputized to enforce the ordinance and apprehend offenders
Violation of this ordinance shall be punished as follows:
For The First Offense – A fine of P1,000.00 and confiscation of modified muffler.
For The Second Offense– A fine of P 1, 500.00 confiscation of modified muffler and impounding of the motor vehicle.
For The Third Offense – A fine of P 2,000.00 confiscation of modified muffler and impounding of the motor vehicle.
