San Vicente bagged 2nd Seal of Good Local Governace

Lgu -San Vicente ,  has bagged the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Award from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) for 2nd year in a row.

San Vicente , passed all the criteria set by the DILG,  good financial housekeeping , disaster preparedness,  and social protection, and the essentials assessment areas- business friendliness and competitiveness , peace and order and environmental management.

The SGLG symbolizes integrity and good performance of local governments.

Of the 448 LGUs that clinched the seal this year, 28 are provinces, 61 are cities, and 359 are municipalities.

The Ilocos Region got the most awards with  a total of 68 .

The other SGLG awardees in Region 1,  Provincial  Government of Ilocos Sur, City of Vigan and Candon, Cabugao, Coayan, Nagbukel, Quirino, Salcedo, San Ildefonso,  Santa, Sta Lucia, Santiago,  Sta. Catalina, Sta. Cruz and Sto. Domingo .

Seal of Good Housekeeping was launched in 2010 while the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) or Pagkilala sa Katapatan at Kahusayan ng Pamahalaang Lokal  in 2015, a  vehicle that drives the LGUs to aspire for better programs and policies.

SGLG is guided by the provisions of the Republic Act 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991, the General Appropriations Act of 2017 and Administrative Order No. 267 of 1992.
